GRAYSON, La., Feb. 23. — (Special) — Mrs. J. S. Gordy, 86, widow of J. S. Gordy of Grayson, died at her home here early Sunday. The funeral was held in the Baptist church Monday at 10 a.m. with Rev. J. D. Kitchenham [sic Kitchingham] and Rev. E. M. Mouser officiating. Interment was in Welcome Home cemetery, in charge of the Riser Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were all grandsons: Otis, Arthur Truman, Lamar, Bernard and Charles Gordy.
She is survived by seven sons: T. M. of Grayson; S. E., of Grayson; C. L. of Hattiesburg, Miss.; A. B., of Longview, Texas; V. G., of Little Rock, Ark.; J. D., of Kilgore, Texas, and D. P. Gordy of Benton, Ark.; 23 grandsons and 21 great grandsons.
