MONROE CITY, Ind. -- Linden G. Alton, 48, died Sunday while working on a brush fire near his home. The Knox County coroner said that Alton suffered burns in the fire.
He owned and operated Alton Sandblasting in Vincennes, and was a member of the Monroe City First Church of God.
Surviving are his wife of 14 years, Roberta "Bobbi"; two daughters, Janet Stroud of Vincennes and Beth Stroud Crouse of Monroe City; a son, Brandon Alton of Washington; and three brothers, Rex of Vincennes, Rick of Petersburg and Kim of Monroe City.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. EST Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
