Amy E. Brieger, born February 28, 1929, in Guadalupe County, Texas, passed away on 30 May, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Irvin Brieger; daughter, Sandy Musk; sons, John Brieger and wife, Mary Lou, Doug Brieger and wife, Sylvia; James Brieger and wife, Nancy; Rick Brieger and wife, Lisa; fifteen grandchildren; several cousins, and a host of friends.

Amy was one of the original active members of St. Luke Catholic Parish. She received an honorary life membership in the Texas Congress of Parents and Teachers in 1973 in recognition of distinguished service given to children and youth. Prior to her retirement in 1996, she operated her own florist shop for twenty years, and was an active member of the Alamo Area Allied Florist Association and the Texas State Florist Association. She will be missed dearly by her family, and lifelong friends.
