Zoe Davis, 78, Whitley City, died Nov. 27 after months of illness at the Lake Cumberland Medical Center, Somerset. She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Davis.
Funeral services were held at Bethel United Baptist Church, Muncie, IN, Thursday, Dec. 1, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Curtis Burnett officiating. Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery, Anderson, IN. Hickman Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
She was born Aug. 17, 1899, in Wayne County, KY, to the late Flem Dobbs and Relda Thompson Dobbs. She was a housewife and had lived here for many years. She was a member of the Bethel United Baptist Church, Muncie, IN.
Survivors include children, Paul Davis, Whitley City, KY, Lloyd Davis, Ann Arbor, MI, Stanley Davis, Richmond, IN, Hoyt Davis, Louie Davis, Israel Davis, all of Muncie, IN, Betty West, Jacqueline Glass, both of Anderson, IN, James Davis, Winchester, IN, and Charlene Vollenhals, Alexandria, IN; 66 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
