Jacquelyn Glass, 71, died Tuesday at 6:50 a.m. in her rural Auburn home. She retired in 1972 as an assembler at Sheller-Globe in Union City. She was a member of Bethel Chapter 179 of the Order of Eastern Star in Alexandria. She had lived in Auburn 18 years. Mrs. Glass was born Oct. 1, 1924, in McCreary County, KY, to the late Charles and Zoe (Dobbs) Davis. She married Howard Glass on Nov. 5, 1945 in Anderson, and he died in 1981. Surviving are one daughter, Mary Lou LaTurner of Auburn; four brothers, the Rev. Josh L. Davis of Muncie, James H. Davis and Lloyd Davis, both of Stearns, KY, and the Rev. Hoyt Davis of Sydney, OH; two sisters, Charlene Vollenhals of Alexandria and Betty Lou West of Riverview, FL; and two grandsons, Andrew and Bret LaTurner of Auburn. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Friends may call Thursday from 3-8 p.m. in McComb, Dilgard & Cline Funeral Home, Auburn. Services will be conducted Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Anderson, with a graveside service at 2 p.m.
