Rollin E Ford, of Co. F, recruited man enrolled Oct. 4, 1862 in Franklin by Capt. Heath as a Private; mustered in Nov. 12, 1862 in Indianapolis by Col. Carrington at age 26. He was 5Œ 6 tall, light complexion, blue eyes, and light hair. Born in Rutland Co., VT, employed as a carpenter, married to Martha J. Richey, resident of Waterloo, in DeKalb Co., IN. Mustered out at the end of the war Sep. 14, 1865 in Nashville, TN with rank of Private.

Notes: Received slight thigh flesh wound at Stone River. Sick in Nashville convalescent camp Dec. 31, 1862-Jun. 1863. Served as post teamster Jan. 1864. Detailed as mechanic May 25, 1865. He filed Invalid Pension Application to receive Pension Certificate #637643 Jul. 16, 1889, in IA. Resident of Des Moines, Polk Co., IA, in 1870 where he died Feb. 19, 1894. Buried there in Woodland Cemetery #115. Martha J. filed Widowfs Pension Application to receive Widowfs Pension Certificate #413907 Mar. 3, 1894, in IA.
