William married Rachel Luchsinger of Berne on March 12, 1874 in LeMars, Iowa. Seven children were born of this union, Edward, Bertha,
Robert, Anna, Lloyd and Albert. An infant, Floyd preceded him in death.
Fraternally Mr. Andrist is a member of the A.F.and A.M. and the A.O.U.W. His relisious affillations are with the German Lutheran Church at Berne.
William and his family were a successful farmer and dairyman and has accumulated considerable property by industry and economy, having
a farm of 290 acres in Mantorville township named the Swiss Valley Farms. He also has a fine residence in Mantorville where he resides.
He has been a member of the Mantorivlle school board for several years.
William Andrist passed away on pneumonia on March 9, 1907 in Mantorville with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, Dodge county, Minnesota. The United Workmen
were in charge of services at the grave. he is survived by his children and brothers, John A. of Mantorville, Godfrey of Milton, Jacob of Crookston, Fred of
North Dakota and Henry of Definace, Ohio.
