Clarence Brandenburg, 84, 2 East Fourth Street, Frederick, formerly of Rocky Springs died at Frederick Nursing Center, Thursday at 3:15 PM after an illness of several weeks.

Mr Brandenburg was born in the Middletown Valley a son of the late George Martin and Minerva Warrenfeltz Brandenburg. At age 25 Clarence was employed with the Frederick Hagerstown Thurmont Electric Railway until 1914 when he became an employee of the Baltimore and Ohio Railway in the Signal Department until his retirement in 1949. He was a member of the Brotherhood Of Signalmen Of America and the Railroad Relief Department.

Surviving are two children, Mrs Clinton S. Hamilton, Frederick and Frank E. Brandenburg, Middletown and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Etchison Funeral Home, Saturday from 7 to 9 PM with funeral services being conducted at the funeral home Monday at 2 PM. The Rev. Dr. Raymond E. Wilhelm Pastor Emeritus of Grace United Church Of Christ will offiuciate with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick City, Maryland.
