Mr. Coker retired in 1967 from the City of Dover, where he worked in the maintenance department. His wife, Mary Elizabeth, died In 1967.
He is survived by five sons, Charles Coker, Cheswold, James Coker, Dover, Carl Lee Coker, Phoenix, Ariz., Eugene Coker, Clayton, and Larry Coker, Hartly; a daughter, Evelyn Townsend, Dover; two brothers, John Coker, Cheswold, and Frank Coker, Washington, D.C; a sister, Lethia Carter, New Jersey; two stepbrothers, Eddie Reed, New Jersey and Robert Reed, Dover; two stepsisters, Edna Loatman and Marion Hughes; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday in the Torbert Funeral Chapel, Reed and Bradford Streets, Dover. Burial will be in Immanuel Union Cemetery, Cheswold.
