Born in Payson, Utah, to Max and Nadine Hiatt. He attended Payson High School, UVU, and Western Wyoming College. He was employed as an electronics engineer with the LDS Church, Printing Division.
He had a love for nature, the ocean, and golfing. Reading, studying, and learning were always important to him.
Kevin is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the gospel and was a disciple of Jesus Christ. He was the High Priest Group Leader, and was very diligent in serving others as a home teacher, as well as in his other callings and responsibilities.
He was sealed to Jeanne W. Fotheringham, the love of his life, in the Salt Lake Temple on August 31, 1981. Family always came first for Kevin. He was an example of strength to everyone around him.
He is survived by his mother, Nadine; wife, Jeanne; one son and two daughters: Jared D. (Melisa) Hiatt, Kari Jean (Tyler) Harker and Jana Sue (Jeffrey) Crosby. Kevin is also survived by his granddaughter, Olivia; by his brother, Alan Lynn Hiatt; and his sister, Brenda Tippetts.
He is preceded in death by his father, Max Hiatt.
Graveside services will be held Monday, September 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 South 400 East, Springville, Utah.
