Marvin "Eugene" Winchester, 73 a longtime Willits and Burney, California resident passed away Aug. 12, 2010 in Fall River Mills, California.

Gene was born May 14, 1937 to George M Winchester and Annie F Jordan in Marked Tree, Arkansas. His family moved to California at a young age and he began a long history of employment in the lumber industry. He worked for Ben Mast in Laytonville, Willits Redwood Products and then Harwood Products as fork lift driver until his retirement. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and the ocean.

Gene is survived by children: Travis (Katrina), Rusty (Krysta) Winchester, and Alicia (Kennith) Dooly of Lavaca, Arkansas. Sherri Allason of Sacramento, Calif and Michelle (Darin)Bouma of Corning, Calif. Grandchildren: Brianna, Hannah, Tyler and Roman Winchester, Brooklyn Dooly and Bryan Thomas all of Lavaca, Arkansas. Theresa Olson of Fargo, North Dakota and Tessara and Cody Bouma of Corning, Calif. Sisters Frances Lawrason, Ruby Pietrzak both of Willits, Ca. Mavis Curtis of Priest River, Idaho and Brother Elmer French of Willits. Four Great-grandchildren also survive him.

Burial was at The Willits Cemetery.
