Mrs. Olson was born on October 11, 1915, at Billings, MT to Mr. and Mrs. Norman Merritt. She moved with her parents to WY where she was raised and educated. The family moved to Skagit County in 1930, and lived there until moving to Bremerton, WA in 1941.
She married Elmer A. Olson on July 14, 1934, in Anacortes. They lived in Concrete (Skagit County) until 1940, when they moved to Bremerton. She was a member of the Reliance Chapter, No. 70, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer A. Olson of the family home; a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (NeVia) Burroughs, of Bremerton; a son, Kenneth Allen Olson, of Pullman (Whitman County); a brother, Jack Merritt of Okinawa; and two grand-daughters.
The Rev. Glen Soule of the Manette Community Church will officiate at the funeral ceremony. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
