Ruth was the wife of Norman M. Merritt.

Mrs. Ruth E. Merritt, 75, of 2819 Hayton St., died Saturday in Bremerton, WA.

She was born on May 2, 1894 in Hermosa, SD. She was a retired culinary worker from a local hospital and had lived in Kitsap County since 1940. She was a member of the Culinary and Beverage Worker's Union.

Mrs. Merritt is survived by a son, Jack Merritt, Okinawa; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer A. (Catherine) Olson, Bremerton; a sister, Mrs. Erma McKinney, Sedro Wooley (Skagit County); six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Woodlawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Soule officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
