Per a book by David Webster Hoyt:


Married Anna Beach in 1750; lived in Danbury. Will dated 6/23/1792, proved 1812. Wife Anna b. 3/25/1730; adm to full communion D. chh., 2/3/1771; d. 8/25/1812. Their tombstone states that "they lived together in the married state 62y". It is said that Comfort had a wife & 3 children who all died before he married Anna Beach, as above. His name frequently appears on the records from 1755 to 83, or later, as prudential com., & on the other com. Of the D. eccl. Soc. He was called Lieut. till 1768, & after that Capt. Comfort & wife Anna were among the memb. D. chh. in 1786. He was one of the creditors of the forfeited estates in 1780. The same year he bought land forfeited by Sam. Hoyt. Land was laid out to him in 1783; taxed in 1st eccl. Soc of D., 1786, etc.


Father of Comfort, Esther Stevens, Daniel, Amos, Agur, Abigail Starr & Ard Hoyt.

Served during the American Revolution as a Captain in the 16th Regiment Connecticut (Danbury) militia. His wife is listed as Anna Beach.
