Funeral services for Daniel Wayne Phelps, 54, of Sherman, formerly of Fannin County, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Richards will officiate.
Burial will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery.
Daniel passed away Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.
Daniel was born April 27, 1956 in Memphis, Texas, the son of Travis Daris Phelps and Mattie Inez Bradley Phelps.
He married Pamela Jane Freelen, Sept. 29, 1972 and she preceded him in death May 10, 1999.
Daniel was a member of the Apostolic Church in Whitesboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Derisha Phelps, a sister, Juanita Freelen and a brother Darrell Phelps.
Surviving are ~
Son: Jake Phelps and wife Meagan of Alma, Arkansas
2 Daughters: Angela Campbell and husband, Kevin and April Phelps, all of Sherman
Brother: David Phelps of Memphis, TX
3 Grandchildren: Collin Phelps, Alyssa Phelps and Madie Phelps
Pallbearers will be Mike Weissert, Mark Taylor, Wesley Johnson, Kenneth Jackson, Rick Holley and Brandon Dorsey.
The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday night.
