J.W. Bryant was known as Waller or Walter. He worked as a farmer in Eastland Co., TX for several years and worked for a lumber yard in Cincinnati, OH.

Obituary: Mr. Joseph W. Bryant, son of the late Valentine Bryant, of Ozark, died at that place April 3rd and was buried the 4th in the Bryant graveyard. He was fifty-eight years old and a member of the Baptist church. His aged mother and three brothers, Jesse, Willie, Ivan, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Bryant and Mrs. Sophronia Cravens, survive him.
