Theodore served as a Technical Sergeant & Top Turret Gunner on B-24J "Bottle Baby" #44-40169, 856th Bomber Squadron, 492nd Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He resided in Steuben County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on July 15, 1942 in Rochester, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the production of glass and glass products and also as Single, without dependents.

Theodore was declared "Missing In Action" when his B-24 was attacked by German Aircraft and was shot down and crashed into the Baltic Sea during the war. He was awarded the Air Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster and the Purple Heart.
