Annis Ruth Smith

Annis Ruth Smith, 75, of Route 1, died Saturday (Dec. 2, 2001) at Lee Regional Medical Center in Pennington Gap, Va.

Born in Keokee, Va., she had been a resident of Lee County (Keokee) her entire life. She was a homemaker and member of Raw Hide Missionary Baptist Church, Route 1, Keokee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Fannie Smith; and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Romona Smith, Keokee; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren; brother, Jack Smith, Detroit, Mich.; sister, Flora Palmer , Keokee; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Province Funeral Home, Pennington Gap.

Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the sanctuary of the funeral home.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Keokee Cemetery, where family and friends are asked to meet at 10:45 a.m.
