Daisy was the daughter of Lulu Roberts and Edgar Shannon. She was raised in Frostburg MD where she went to the teachers college. Daisy married Earl Rephorn and they moved to Barberton Ohio. After Earl died in 1925 Daisy took their children to Eckhart Mines where they lived with Earl's parents, Henry and Nodie Rephann. Daisy worked as a teacher in LaVale and other area schools, living in Cumberland. She moved to Florida to live with her daughter Betty.
