He was born May 5, 1928 in Chicopee, MA, the son of the late Tadeusz and Mary (Kiwior) Ossolinski. He was raised in Chicopee, MA and moved to Windsor Locks in 1956.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and retired from John Hancock Insurance Co. in 1986.
He is survived by his six children, Stephen of Windsor Locks, Sandra of Manchester, Eric and his wife Cherryll of Coventry, Ruth Ann Ossolinski of Windsor Locks, Andrew and his wife Julie of New Hartford and Michael of Windsor Locks. Ed is also survived by seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Ruth (Mikaelian) Ossolinski; a brother Matthew Irzyk and a sister Natalie.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Friday (July 16, 2010) from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring Street, Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will gather at 1:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home for committal prayers and military honors to be held in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA.
