Beatrice C. "Bea" Mangiaficio, 83, of Spring Church, formerly of North Apollo, died Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at West Haven Nursing Home, Washington Township. She was born April 26, 1927, in Detroit, Mich., a daughter of the late John and Anna (Debin) Valentino. She was a homemaker who had lived in the Kiski Valley since 1946, and in Detroit, Mich., prior to that. She was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Apollo, Rosary Confraternity of the church, Meals on Wheels, a St. Vincent DePaul volunteer and the Red Hat Society. Beatrice also enjoyed puzzles, volunteering and especially spending time with her family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Mangiaficio, in 1988; infant daughter, Nancy Carol; and half sister, Alvera Lovati. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara A. (Dennis) Gordon, of Wiscasset, Maine, Carol L. (Wayne) Watterson, of Winter Park, Fla., and Susan M. (Brad) Walters, of Kiski Township; and grandchildren, Michael Gordon, Matthew (Mary) Gordon, Chris (Shayne) Watterson, David Watterson, Daniel Watterson, Samuel Watterson, John Walters and Angela Walters. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo, PA 15613. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Friday at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Apollo, with Father John Euker. Private burial in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo. Valley News Dispatch 7/7/2010
