Albert LeRoy Hopkins, postmaster at Gig Harbor for six years and a druggist in Tacoma for 40 years, who came to Tacoma in 1889, died Sunday at a Seattle Hospital. He was a native of Iowa, and a life member of the Tacoma Musicians' association; a member of the National Guard in 1918 and a member of the guard band in 1923. He was a Spanish-American War veteran, being a member of E.M. Brown camp, U. S. W. V. of Tacoma, of Royal Neighbors and M. W. A. and of the Presbyterian Church of Gig Harbor. He had lived in Gig Harbor for 14 years.

He leaves his wife, Gertrude Baker Hopkins of the home, sons, Clarence B. of Tacoma; Harold J. of Selah; granddaughters, Shirley Jen Rubens and Marion I. Hopkins of Tacoma, WA; sisters, Mrs. Nettie Van Eaton of Yakima and Mrs. Ida Russell of Seattle; brother, Frank of Portland. He was a charter member of the Lions' club of Gig Harbor.
