Helma Flink grew up in Gogebic County, and here she met and married "Oscar" Lidstrom in 1907.

They moved to Crow Wing Co., Minnesota, where their children (except Ronald) were born. Oscar worked in the mines, and they raised their family.

They moved out to Seattle area, with their children, and it was here that Helma passed away in 1954.
