Final rites were held at the Carlton Methodist church, with the Rev. E. L. Tanner in charge, assisted by the Rev. Frank Smith and the Rev. Roy Grant. Interment was in Carlton cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral home of Ruston.
Mr. Barnes is survived by his wife, Mrs. W. E. Barnes of Calhoun; two daughters, Mrs. C. C. Dobson of Houston, Tex., and Miss Frances L. Barnes of Calhoun; one son, George of Calhoun; two brothers, W. S. Barnes of Calhoun and C. R. Barnes of West Monroe, and three sisters, Mrs. J. F. Smith, Choudrant, Mrs. C. Murphy, West Monroe, and Mrs. Lonnie Mills, Beaumont, Tex.
