Second wife of John Parker. Son of Dickerson and Lucinda Eaton Parker.
1900 Census shows John Parker, Sallie Parker, Nancy A. Parker dau, b. Feb, 1878, and Laura Parker dau. b. Aug. 1882.
Nancy (Nannie) and Laura were her step-daughters.
She was born in Texas, but her parents were b. in Ill.
If she was the daughter of Ben and Irena Douthit Parker as one source said then she married a second cousin. Her father's first cousin.
I bought this picture from Baylor University Library of Waco, Texas.
The info on the ordering of the picture was; Rebecca Parker Brooks b. May 1, 1856 dau. of Ben and Irena Douthit Parker. Wife of Jasper J. (J.J.) Brooks Now where is Rebecca Parker Brooks and her husband buried.
***Rebecca Parker is not listed as one of Ben and Irena's children.***
Sally b. 1854 June 3, dau. of Ben and Nancy Galloway Parker.
Where is Ben and Nancy Galloway Parker buried and what is their connection to Ben and Irena Parker.
So this puts a new light on the subject.
So the statement above that she is the daughter of Ben and Irena may not be true. Need more research.
