Gilbert Miller
Gilbert C. Miller, 63, a 34-year resident of Valparaiso, died Saturday at Porter Memorial Hospital.
Born in Michigan Nov. 8, 1920, the son of Henry and Elizabeth (Arnold) Miller, he formerly was a Duneland school bus driver, a veteran of World War II, and a member of the Moose Lodge and Our Lady of Sorrows Church, South Haven.
On Aug. 10, 1940, he married Catherine Kurtz, who survives.
Also surviving are five daughters, Donna Martin, Judy Diebke, Diane Reif and Linda Wienke of Valparaiso and Sharon Gilkeson of Chesterton; a son, Michael of Colorado; 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth White of Valparaiso.
Services 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, the Rev. Damien Cesanek officiating; burial in Graceland Cemetery; visitation 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Wetmore-Moeller Funeral Home; rosary 7:30 p.m. today.
