James N. Saxton
James N. Saxton, 86, of Springfield Center and Glens Falls died Saturday, March 29, at the Glens Falls Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Ottman Home in Cherry Valley, with the Rev. Harold Saxton, pastor of the Edmeston Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be later in the Springfield Center Cemetery.
Mr. Saxton was born March 22, 1883, in the Town of Middlefield, a son of James W. and Amelia (Son) Saxton. He married Margareet Ely Ferris, who died in 1945.
He was a retired farmer and a a member of the Baptist Church of Springfield Center.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Minnie Smith of Cooperstown, and several nieces and nephews.
