Mrs. Edith Clevenger Thornburg, 79, former Rushville resident, died at 11 p.m. Saturday in the Hillcrest Nursing Home at Idaho Falls, Ida, where she had been living for the past year
Before going to Idaho she lived in Waldron for 10 years with most of her life being spent in Rushville.
A native of Randolph County, she was born on March 24, 1887, the daughter of Jotham and Olive Ball Abernathy. Her first husband, Martin Clevenger, died in 1953.
Survivors include two sons, Earl Clevenger of Rushville and Theodore Clevenger of Lake George, Ind., a daughter, Mrs. Delbert (Mildred) Newman of Idaho Falls; a brother, William Abernathy of Richmond; a sister, Ruth, of Indianapolis, and 12 grandchildren.
Final services will be held at East Hill Shrine Mausoleum at a date to be announced later. Arrangements are being made by Moster and Sons Mortuary.
