James Earl Clevenger, 89

James Earl Clevenger, 89, of Rushville died Thursday, May 22, 2003.

Born Sept. 21,1913, in Rushville, he was the son of Martin and Edith (Abernathy) Clevenger. He married Ruby Linville in 1947; she preceded him in death in 2002.

Mr. Clevenger owned and operated Earl's Plumbing & heating for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge 1307, and the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include two sons, David E. Clevenger (and wife Dottie) of Rushville and John Moore (and wife Briggett) of Tampa, Fla.; one daughter, Colleen (Mrs. Dick) Wesley of Rushville; seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, and one grandchild.

Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Todd Funeral Home in Rushville, with the Rev. Charles Aigner officiating. Burial will follow in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
