Raised in Cambridge, MA until the age of 10 when the family moved to Bedford, MA. Graduated from Bedford High School in 1958. Attended Carnegie Institute in Boston, MA for training in EKG/EEG technician. Married William O. Barnette in May of 1961. Eventually settling in southern New Hampshire for over 30 years. Worked at Nashua Memorial Hospital on Main St. Had two sons and in 1997 retired to Leesburg, FL with her husband. Relocated in 2005 to Leland, NC. In November 2008 diagnosed with brain tumor and given 18 months. Died in April 2009 from chemotherapy treatment.
