Elizabeth Barwick Summerall was the daughter of Thomas Jesse Bawick (1850-1928) and Sallie Francis Thomason (1884-1929). She had the following full-blooded siblings: Fannie (died young); Grace; Rose; Harry (POW WWII and died in the war) and John William Barwick. She had the following half siblings from her father's previous marriage: Nettie; George T; William Saunders; Hardy Bluford; Mollie and Bettie Belle. She was the wife of Lester Cornelius Summerall and had two children: Bobbie Jean and Louie Lester Summerall. She died on October 23, 2002 and is buried in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Sumter County, Florida. Many thanks to her daughter Bobbie Jean for information and photos. Her daughter Bobbie Jean added the following: I like the pictures you chose to use. In the picture of my mom and dad, it was taken in California and she is pregnant with my brother. The picture of her as a girl is the only picture we have of her as a young girl. She was orphaned at 6 – father died when she was five and her mother died when she was 6. Her father was 72 when she was born and her mother 35.
