Mrs. Pullen was born May 24, 1903, in Virginia, and was the daughter of the late James William Atkins and Annie Owen (Dodson) Atkins.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Luray Church of the Brethren.
On Dec. 25, 1921, she married Ennis Daniel Pullen, who preceded her in death March 17, 1986.
She is survived by two sons, Luther Pullen and daughter-in-law, Susan Pullen, of Mechanicsville, Md., and Bryan Pullen and daughter-in-law, Barbara Pullen, of Shenandoah; five grandchildren, Wayne and Debbie Nebel of Warrenton, Va., Terry Pullen of Powells Point, N.C., Kimberlee and Elmem Spires of Suffolk, Va., Jeffrey and DeDe Pullen of Mechanicsville, Md., and Eric and Lisa Pullen of Shenandoah; and four great-grandchildren, Katie Nebel and Richard Nebel of Warrenton, Amanda Pullen and Danielle Pullen of Mechanicsville, Md.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen (Pullen) Adams, son-in-law, R. Odell Adams; two brothers, James Owen Atkins and Raymond Atkins, and two sisters, Bertha Clark and Beeley Pullen.
The Rev. JuliAnne Bowser Sloughfy will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at the Bradley Funeral Home Inc. in Luray. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Burial will be at Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Luray Rescue Squad.
