A native of Banks County, he was a son of the late John and Bessie Austin Caudell.
He was retired from the U.S.Navy.
Surviving are daughter, Mrs. E.E.Pierleonia of Alto; brother, Will Caudell of Toccoa, Stephens County, Georgia; sister, Mrs. Nellie Grubbs of Cornelia; half-brothers, Cecil Caudell of Lilburn, Ed Caudell of Easley, S.C.; half-sisters, Miss Annie Caudell and Miss Fannie Caudell of Easley, S.C.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in VFW Memorial Gardens.
