Glee Tennyson Searson, 80, of 1363 Knox Rd., Beaverton, died Saturday, Oct. 2, in the Saginaw Veteran's Hospital following an illness of six months. Born in Dola, Ohio, on November 24, 1895, he came to Gladwin County in 1946 from Kansas. A retired steam fitter, he was a member of Saginaw Local 85 of the Michigan United Association of Journeyman and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry. Mr. Searson was a veteran of World War I. He was married to the former Violet Matthews on September 29, 1917, in Tuscola County.
Surviving besides his wife are 4 sons, Glee Jr. of Glendale Heights, Ill., Thomas of Sanford, Donald of Eldorado, Kan, and James of Sanford; 3 daughters, Mrs. Betty Tice of Eldorado, Kan., Mrs. Rosemary Kirk of Bradenton, Fla., and Mrs. Patsy Brewer of Beaverton; one sister, Mrs. Lesta Knox of Beaverton; 35 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren.
Services were held today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. James Braid officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 10-06/1976 Column - 4 Page - 2
