On Jan. 4, 2010, at 5:40 a.m., Donald E. Searson took his Savior's hand and stepped into Eternity.
Born on June 18, 1925 in Jenks, Oklahoma Glee and Violet (Mathews) Searson, he was the 5th of nine children.
He married Crystal Durm on Feb. 7, 1998. She preceded him in death in 2006.
He was employed with J.L. Coats in Ohio, working in the oil fields. He had lived in Tuscola County since 2006, previously residing in Pleasant City, Ohio.
He is survived by two daughters, Donna (David) Stiebig of Vassar, Lola Roberts (born to Donald and Opal Orr Searson) of El Dorado, Kansas; three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; as well as one sister, Pat Brewer of Beaverton; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Crystal; five brothers; two sisters; one grandchild; and son-in-law, William Roberts.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, 11 a.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton, with Rev. David Somers officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Tobacco Twp. (Dale) Cemetery, Beaverton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Gladwin County Record dated 1-6/2010
