BEECH GROVE - Nellie Elizabeth (Sis) Coffey, 80, of Beech Grove, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005 at the University of Virginia Hospital. Born in Nelson County Sept. 18, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Benten H. and Margaret (Susie) Dodd Coffey. She was a member of Beech Grove Christian Church and was a retired housekeeping supervisor from Wintergreen Resort. She is survived by a son, Jerry Wayne (Joe) Coffey and his wife, Faye, of Orange; a daughter, Marie C. Napier and her husband, Norman, of Nellysford; two brothers, Pat L. Coffey Sr. of Waynesboro, and Paul A. Coffey and his wife, Katherine, of Afton; two sisters, Elsie Truslow and her friend, James, of Free Union and Peggy Perry of Waynesboro; a nephew, Roger (Bumpy) Coffey of Beech Grove; three grandchildren, Harold Wayne Napier and his wife, Connie, Nicholas and Bryan Coffey; one great-granddaughter, Jessica Napier; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, (Nov. 25, 2005) in Beech Grove Cemetery. It was her request that there be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Wintergreen Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 173, Wintergreen, Va., 22958 or the Beech Grove Cemetery Fund, c/o Marie Napier, P. O. Box 5, Nellysford, Va., 22958. Byrum-Parr Funeral Home is serving the family.
