"A Double Funeral - The death angel laid a heavy hand on the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Lawwill at Wheat Ridge this week. On last Tuesday, their three-year-old boy fell in an open fireplace and was horribly and fatally burned, death ending the little fellow's suffering Wednesday morning at 4 o'clock. In the evening of the same day, Samuel Jefferson Gustin, the venerable father of Mrs. Lawwill, who was making his home with his daughter, breathed his last. Mr. Gustin was 88 years of age and died from the infirmities of old age, having been in failing health for some time past. Both bodies will be buried this afternoon in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at this place, after services at the M. E. Church at Dunkinsville, of which congregation Mr. Gustin was a member. The wife of Mr. Gustin preceded him to the grave several years ago. He leaves several children, among whom are Philip Gustin and Mrs. Edward Lawler, of this place."
