"Edward Gustin died at the home of his sister, Elizabeth Lawler, in this place, Saturday night. Cause of his death was rheumatism, from which he had been a sufferer for several years and which had drawn his body entirely out of shape. Mr. Gustin was well-liked and respected by everybody, and although at times his suffering was almost unbearable, he made few complaints and bore up under it like the man that he was. Deceased was a son of S.J. Gustin of Meigs Township and was 30 years and four months old at the time of his death. The funeral was held at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Lawler, Monday and was conducted by Rev. James McNeilan, interment in the I. O. O. F. Cemetery."
