Columbiana - Oscar R. Mollenkopf, 84, 210 N. Elm St., died at 12:59 a.m. Friday at Salem Community Hospital, where he had been brought six hours earlier after suffering a heart attack.

Mr. Mollenkopf was born Oct. 23, 1900, in New Springfield to Charles and Amanda Rupert Mollenkopf, and lived there until moving to Columbiana 56 years ago. He was employed for 28 years as a machinist with National Rubber Machinery, retiring in 1969. Prior to that, Mr. Mollenkopf worked for the former Mollenkopf Bakery. He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ. With Independent Order of Odd Fellows, he was a member of the former Columbiana Lodge 410 and the current Canfield Lodge 155.

Mr. Mollenkopf's first wife, Florence E. (Rummel), whom he married Oct. 12, 1911, died Dec. 10, 1972. His second wife, Mildred (Roller), died Feb. 14, 1980. They were married in October of 1974. He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Paste), whom he married Sept. 28, 1981(?); three daughters, Mrs. Duane (Ellen) Nelson and Mrs. Jack (Joyce)
Sanders, both of Columbiana, and Mrs. Donald (Elaine) Gleckler of Clarksville, Tenn.; three sons, Charles of Lehigh Acres, Fla., Paul of Alliance and Jery of Marietta, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Mollenkopf was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Louise, a sister and two brothers.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Terrell officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
