Raymond Short, 76, of Rt. 1, Forest,
died Thursday, June 29, 1978, at his
home.
Born April 7, 1902, he was the son of
Matthew and Martha Buckingham
Short. He was married on March 5,
1923, to May Belle Houchens, who
survives.
He was a member of the Old Zion
Baptist Church in Kentucky.
Surviving with the wife are three
sons, Roger of Forest, Jesse of
Lafayette and Forest E. of California;
a daughter, Agnes Graves of Florida;
13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister; and five brothers.
Two sons a daughter two brothers
and a sister preceded him in death.
The funeral was Saturday at Neptune
Funeral Home in Burlington. The Rev.
Harvey Lange officiated. Burial was in
Burlington Cemetery.
