Charles Alexander Fox,83,Van,died at 12:30am.May 2,1945,Franklin Hosp.Venango Co. following an illness of several weeks duration.Mr Fox had been a resident of the Van district for many yrs.and was well known throughout that area.He was a member of the Valley Methodist Church.On May 5,1884,he married Etta Luella Boyer,who died Sept.6,1926,Surviving are six sons and two daus.Mrs.O.W.Thomas,McGrann,Mrs.A.C.Orr,Lance Creek Wy.,H.N. Fox,Garnet,Ks.Homer D.Fox,Havana,Ks.Charles N.Fox,Bartlesville,Ok.Ervin B.Fox,Oil City,Clarence W.Fox,Polk and Nelson L.Fox,Van.Also 30 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren survive him.The body was taken to the Criswell Funeral Home,Emlenton and last moved to the Clarence Fox home in Polk.A funeral service will be held Van Free Methodist Church with Rev.Harry Faust officiating.
