Sidney Martin Wooldridge

Sidney Martin Wooldridge of Miami, OK died Monday November 30, 2009 at Osborn Care and Rehab Center in Miami, OK. He was 84.

Mr. Wooldridge was born October 5, 1925 in Miami, OK to Alexander Monroe and Ethel (Martin) Wooldridge.

He had lived in the Miami area all of his life and was a member of Miami High School class of 1943.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Italy.

Mr. Wooldridge had worked for B.F. Goodrich in Miami for 33 years.

He was a Member of Miami Lodge No 140 AF&AM for 50 years and was Past Master of the lodge. He was also a member Tulsa Scottish Rite Consistory, the York Rite Bodies in Miami and Akdar ShrineTemple in Tulsa.

He was a life time member of VFW of Miami and attended First Assembly of God Church in Miami, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Darrel Wooldridge on April 21, 1969 and 7 brothers and sisters.

He married Margaret Kyser on January 9, 1944 at Miami, OK. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: 1 Son: Ronald D. Wooldridge and his wife Ann of New Haven, Indiana. 1 Brother: Morris Wooldridge of Miami, OK. 1 Sister: Neva Tipton of Miami, OK. 3 Grandchildren 5 Great grandchildren

Funeral Services will be Thursday December 3, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami, OK. Rev. Jerry VonMoss will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bill Wilmoth, Gary Johnson, Chuck Craig, Larry Foust, Jim Boyd and Chester Euitos. Masonic Rites will be conducted by Miami Lodge No. 140 AF&AM. Military Rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 147 Funeral Detail.

Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral Home.

Services are under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami, OK.
