Son of George Washington Rogers and Sarah Knight. Younger brother of Fountain Rogers.

In 1850 he was living with his parents in Marion Co, Tn.
In 1860 he was in Lawrence Co, Ark.

"Uncle Oliver Rogers of Davidson township, who is now well up in eighty in years, returned to his home Tuesday, after having spent a few days here with relatives and old friends. Uncle Oliver has a host of friends in Evening Shade."

"Oliver Rogers Dead -
Oliver Rogers, the oldest citizen of Davidson township and a pioneer settler of that section, died Wednesday morning, at the age of ___ years. For a few years past he had been very feeble from ___ incident to one of old age. This county had no better citizen than Uncle Oliver Rogers, and his death is regretted by very ___ friends throughout the county. His burial occurred in Davidson township Thursday and was in charge of the Masonic fraternity. A number of Masons from the Evening Shade lodge, of which Uncle Oliver was a member, attended the burial."
