John Boie Rites Held in Thorp
New Holstein. - Funeral services for John Boie, 82, who died last Wednesday at his home in Thorp, were held Saturday afternoon in the Thorp Funeral home, with burial in the cemetery there.
Born in New Hostein on June 22, 1860, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Boie. In September, 1883, he married Miss Helen Greve and had since resided at Thorp. For 28 years he was a director of the People's Exchange bank at Thorp. His wife and a son, George, preceded him in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Miss Lillian Boie, at home; two sons, Oscar and Harry, of Thorp; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Paulsen of Manitowoc and Mrs. Albert Arps of Denver, Colo.
Attending the services from New Holstein were Ferdinand Matzen, Harvey C. Hansen, Arthur Kuehl, Rubin Kuehl and Mrs. Rudolph Greve.
