Herschel H. Burt

Herschel H. Burt, 54, died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday his home near Londonderry following a heart attack.

Mr. Burt owned farms in Vinton and Ross counties, and was a cattle dealer.

He was born in Vinton County on December 5, 1897, a son of Burtrum and Jane Arganbright Burt. On August 27, 1919 he married Grace Parks.

Survivors include his wife, four brothers, Roy and Homer Burt of near Londonderry, Dr. O. O. Burt of Londonderry, and Dr. Olan Burt of Columbus; five sisters, Mrs. Owen Nichols and Mrs. Hazel Reed, both of Columbus, Mrs. Majel Pleasant of Kenton, Mrs. Marie Stevens and Mrs. Marjorie Seitz both of near Londonderry. His mother died last April.

Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Valley EUB Church, Londonderry Route 1. The Rev. Glendon Herbert will officiate. Burial will be in Londonderry Cemetery by Wrighsel Funeral Home of McArthur. Friends may call at the residence after 7:00 p.m. Friday.
