JULIUS BERNARD ALVEY, 64, died at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at General Hospital. He was a native of Grayson County and lived at 1416 S. Eighth. Alvey retired 10 years ago after working as a maintenance man for the American Tobacco Co. for 10 years. Survivors include his widow, the former Mary E. Taylor; three daughters, Mrs. Mary C. Wooden, Mrs. Mary Coreen Mills and Mrs. Cecil O. Medlock; five sons, Metward J., Julius H., Bernard W., Cleavie A. and Euel P. Alvey; and 23 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 8:15 a.m. Friday at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd., and at 9 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Andrew Cemetery.

Metward J., Julius H., Barnard W., Cleavie Anthony, Euel Patrick Alvey; brother of Mrs. Dorothy Alvey; Mrs. Eliza Kidwell, Messrs. Pat, Arthur, Leo, Tony and Ren Alvey; 23 grandchildren. Mr. Alvey is resting at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady and Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. where services will be conducted Friday at 8:15 a.m. and St Ann Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Interment St Andrew Cemetery. The men of the church will recite the rosary Thursday at 8 p.m. Buried, 3-26-1965, in St. Andrew Cemetery, Louisville, Ky.
