Mrs. Corene Siegel, age 85, of Clarksville, IN returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. She was born on June 15, 1933 in Cub Run, KY to the late Bernard & Mary Etta (Taylor) Alvey. She was employed by Brown & Williamson and Treyton Oaks Tower. She will be remembered as a selfless, loving person. She was quick to say she loved you more when you told her, “I love you”. She was never a complainer, no matter how sick she was, she was very complimentary, but honest. She made sure your undershirt was white, even if it meant taking it off your back and washing it herself, and her greatest memory to the family is her prayers for everyone. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Siegel; her favorite twin sister, Orene Medlock; brothers, Metward Alvey, Helmeth Alvey, Wilmeth Alvey and Cleve Alvey. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Paula Kidd (Joseph) and Pamela Brown (Michael); grandchildren, Marcie (Brian), Travis (Jordan), Johnathon, Stacy (Matt), Julie (Jimmy); great-grandchildren, Makayla, Hailey, Kerstyn, Grayson, Austin, Cameron, Kaleb and Addison; great-great-grandchild, Ryleigh; sister, Charlene Wooden; and a brother, Euel Alvey. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 12 p.m. in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. till time of service at the funeral home.
