Daughter of Edward and Mary (Hoeppner) McIntyre. She married Valentine Heinz on Aug. 28, 1944, in Peoria. He passed away June 22, 1997, in Peoria.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Francis, John and Jim McIntyre.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice (Carl) DeBoer; two sons, Ronald (Babs) Heinz and Gary (Suzanne) Heinz; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; four sisters, Margaret Thompson, Agnes Sollberger, Ann (Ray) Schrader and Bernice (Bob) Knapp; and one brother, Bernard (Pat) McIntyre.
Dorothy worked as a sales clerk for Bergner's for 16 years, retiring in the early 1980s.
