Archie Alfonza Kahoa was born November 26, 1879 in Russell, Iowa. On May 14, 1905 he was married to Martha Faye Baker at Weatherford, Okla. To this union was born one son, William Conward Kahoa. Early in life he was converted to the Methodist church and has lived a straight-forward Christian life until death. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Kahoa, his father, Michael Kahoa, two sisters Lenora and Pearl Kahoa; three brothers, Tom, Dick and Charlie Kahoa; a half-sister, Mrs. Gerta Hancock. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Mrs. A.A. Kahoa; one son, W.C. Kahoa and Mrs. Kahoa; three grandchildren, Naomi Faye, A.A. Jr. and Connie Mae Kahoa; brother-in-law, Lorval Baker; niece by marriage, Mrs. carl Olson and Mr. Olson, all of Grimes, Okla.; LeRoy Manuels of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Lester Baker of Mountain Aire, New Mexico; nephews, Ballard Kahoa, Bert Hancock of Russell, Iowa; Leslie and Homer Hancock of Billings, Montana. Also a host of friends. He departed this life October 9, 1942, at 7 o'clock a.m., in his home after a three weeks illness at the age of 62 years, 11 months and 15 days. Funeral services were held at the Sunny Point Community building, Sunday, October 11, 1942 at 3:00 o'clock with the Rev. W.I. Switzer, officiating. Interment was made at the Dempsey cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Littrell-Scroggins in charge.
