Ball Turret Gunner aboard B-17F Flying Fortress #42-5058, nicknamed "Hun Hunter."
Missing in Action February 16, 1943, while on a mission to bomb the U-Boat pens at Saint-Nazaire, France. Shot down by enemy aircraft and crashed at Molac, France. Eight crew were killed and two were captured and held as POWs. Missing Air Crew Report № 15947.
